formed in 1958 Te Uranga B2 Inc. was controlled by the departments of Maori Affairs and Lands and Survey. Twenty-three years later (1981) control was in the hands of its owners.
Since then 4 neighbouring properties have been acquired increasing the land-holding to 2,389 ha. These lands, predominantly ancestral, are located 13 kms north east of Taumarunui nestled in the slopes of Hikurangi and Tuhua mountains. Te Uranga B2's business comprises two dairy farms, a sheep and beef unit, pine forests, a Managed Investment Portfolio and Nga Whenua Rahui Kawenata protecting its regenerating native forests.
